Hello my name is Tammy Ranta, and I live on a
small 4 acre farm in Sturgeon County about 30 min North of
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. My love for boxers started
when I was very young and a family friend bred and raised
them. I was raised around dogs all my life as my Mom showed
Saint Bernards, but I never thought that I would get bit by
the show bug. A very good friend of mine decided to show
Bernese Mountain dogs 4 years ago and I went to watch her show
a couple of times and thought, I would like to give it a
try. Kelly was my support system, and helped me finish
my dogs with her words of encouragement, as I was always a
nervous wreck. I have met a great new network of people
in the dog show world, many who have given me support,
encouragement, and helpful hints in and outside of the
ring. I cannot thank all of you enough as well, you made
me feel welcome, which makes me look forward to my next shows.
My dream was to one day own a boxer of my own, and not only
has that dream come true, but I also got hooked on the showing
aspect as well. I got my first boxer in 2010 with the
help of Josie O'Reilly, Sam - Ch. Denbar's Sam I Am, Breeders:
Bill & Marie Hargreaves. I was set on wanting a
flashy fawn male, then a DK. Brindle male came along.
Kelly convinced me to expand from the fawn and go with the
brindle, and I am glad she did. Sam is an amazing boy
with the perfect temperament and I could not ask for anything
more from him. We then decided to get a second boxer
addition to our family. With the help of Josie O'Reilly
(Summer Boxers)
again, Brillante came into our lives, Ch. Indigo's Dolce &
Gabanna on Madison Ave, Breeders Lynn Cooch & Diane Monson
(
Indigo
Boxers). Brillante is such a beautiful,
fun, loving, and intelligent girl. Thank you Lynn and
Diane for giving me the opportunity to have this great girl.
I would also like to thank Josie O'Reilly of (
Summer Boxers), for all her
help and support she has given me through out these last few
years as well.
We also have two registered Yellow Labradors, Gracie &
Cali. Our dogs are a part of our family and live in our
home. We do not breed often, and if we do it will be to
add another dog to the family. Before breeding our dogs
are screened for Boxer Cardiomyopathy, Hip Dysplasia,
Sub Aortic Stenosis, Degenerative Myelopathy and
Hypothyroidism. If you are looking to add a boxer to your
family, I can refer you to a responsible breeder that may have
a upcoming litter or available puppies. I am an active
member in good standing with the Alberta Boxer Club, Boxer
Club of Canada, Minnisota Boxer Club, and American Boxer
Club.
